Position Summary:
Supervise and guide Louisville quality assurance associate team, work with all Polo departments to ensure quality production and distribution at the Louisville plant, and lead internal auditing efforts.
   
Essential Functions:
Manage Louisville, MS quality assurance associate team activities and functions. With other departmental input as needed, work to resolve quality issues and create/implement corrective and preventive measures on raw materials, plant production, and imported finished goods warehoused in Louisville. Coordinate Louisville ISO 9001 internal audit team activities. Complete corrective action reports, product alerts/print change requests, and other quality-related documentation as warranted. Conduct roving inspections and product measurements as needed to ensure customer specifications are being met. Maintain Louisville quality-related data as warranted. Function as Louisville plant quality representative for supplier audits, customer audits, and other customer contacts. Conduct roving inspections and product measurements as needed to ensure customer specifications are being met. Participate in quality review team meetings, Polo management review meetings, and other meetings as needed. Act as encouraging, positive role model for M-C's corporate culture.

Authority :
Positions that report to this position: Louisville Quality Auditors Limits of authority to change submordinates' salaries, job assignments, operating policies, etc.: Can change job assignments and operating policies, with input from Director of Quality. Recommendations of salary adjustments to be made to Director of Quality. Limits of capital expenditure authority: Can suggest capital expenditure proposals, with input from Director of Quality and Executive Team approval. Other limits to authority: N/A
   
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Education (minimum required): Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline. Experience (minimum required): 3+ years experience supervising quality assurance or quality control personnel in labor-intensive manufacturing and/or QC/test lab environment. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or related international quality management standard required and internal auditing experience to the ISO 9001 standard preferred. Experience in sewing, embroidery, and/or screenprinting processes preferred, but not mandatory. Specialized knowledge: ASQ certification (CMQ/OE, CQE, CQA, etc.) desirable, but not required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) required. Special Skills: Must have good communication (verbal/written) and problem-solving skills, be able to relate to others in diverse plant environnment, and positively embody the M-C culture. Other: Knowledge of how to read technical drawings and work instructions required. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques preferred.
